| Jenny West, LM, CPM, HBCE,
TBMP,CST, CHt |
| Jennifer L. West, (AKA Jenny)
has been a practicing midwife since 1989, and has attended over 850
births. She is the owner of Albuquerque Homebirth, a midwifery practice
that specializes in water birth and HypnoBirthing®, Total Body
Modification and CranioSacral care. She is also the owner of The Purple
Thistle Tea Co. and Dolphin Circle Waterbirth Tub Kits. |
| Jenny moved to Albuquerque in 1995, after leaving a
successful homebirth practice in Montana. Prior to becoming a midwife, she
worked for the National Park Service as a park ranger. Five years of law
enforcement, emergency medicine, structural and wild land firefighting
proved to have been a great background for becoming a midwife, which also
involves working with and educating the public on a daily basis. |
| Jenny taught traditional childbirth classes at two
local hospitals for a period of five years, and continues to teach private
childbirth preparation classes and infant CPR. In 1999, Jenny became
certified to teach American AquaNatal and HypnoBirthing® classes. |
| She is also the Peer Review Coordinator for all New
Mexico licensed midwives, is currently a preceptor for the National
College of Midwifery in Taos, New Mexico and is a member of the New Mexico
State Midwifery Advisory Board. |
| Jenny did her CranioSacral
training through the Upledger Institute
in April of 2006 in Albuquerque with Eric Moya as her instructor (Owner of
the Ripple Effect in Albuquerque). After working with another
CranioSacralist in town and having most of her pregnant clients receive at
least one CranioSacral treatment prior to their very nice, smooth births,
she decided she needed to know how to do these techniques herself. |
| Jenny's TBM training was
started in April of 2005, and she has completed all three modules and
repeated Modules one and two just last summer here in Albuquerque when she
hosted a training. This training will carry over into next year
(2007) |
| August of 2006 will see a completion hypnotherapy
training with Lois Prinz of the Center for Hypnotherapy. Both are
licensed with the state and with the National Hypnotherapy Guild I expect
a great training and many applications of this to my current work. |

dancing, sleeping and when possible, going on a cruise! |
